The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) celebrates with the whole nation National Women’s Month 2023 this March. With this, the College’s Gender and Development (GAD) Office, led by their Director, the GADdess, Ms. Maxi M. Our guests also discussed how the said celebration started, particularly in ASCOT, and how it changed, became bigger, and became more colorful through the years.

In addition, the two also presented the lineup of activities of the GAD office for this year’s celebration, which includes the Kickoff Ceremony last Monday, Project Bloom for the women of Brgy. Bazal, Pampering Sessions consisting of free massages, haircuts, manicures, and pedicures for ASCOT employees, and the Musika Para Kay Juana Songwriting Competition. The GAD office also participated in the kickoff ceremony of the National Women’s Month organized by the Provincial Government of Aurora, as partner agencies in promoting gender awareness and sensitivity in the province.

In today’s program, ASCOT’s Research and Development Office Science Research Assistant, Mr. Mart Angel Quiap, serenaded our listeners with a song about women’s empowerment, entitled “Pinay,” for our Todo-Todong ASCOTian segment.
