The Guidance Counselor of ASCOT Bazal Campus and one of the members of the Aurora Mental Health Help Desk, Ma’am Dolores Salvacion F. Tolentino, served as our guest for today’s episode of ASCOT ‘TO (Todo-Todo) at 92.1 RTV Baler!
In our program’s Episode 55 (Ating Pag-usapan, Kalusugang Pangkaisipan!), Ma’am Salva discussed with our listeners how the College collaborated and signed various Memoranda of Understanding with the Provincial Government of Aurora and national agencies like the Department of Education (DepEd) to give assistance not only to their employees and administrators but also to other target beneficiaries who are seeking advice and guidance from the available Guidance Counselors in the province. The said collaboration gave rise to the establishment of the Aurora Mental Health Help Desk, which aims to reach out to the general public who may need help in terms of their mental health.
Ma’am Salva also shared some of her experiences about how thankful the audience and beneficiaries of their symposiums and talks are for this initiative of discussing the importance of mental health in one’s well-being. She also expressed her willingness to always help those who want to seek intervention and encouraged them not to be afraid and to break the stigma of going to guidance experts.
In today’s program, ASCOT’s pride and the champion in the recently held Galing ng Aurora Ngayon 2023 Singing Category, Ms. Lia Briney Mostoles, a student from ASCOT’s BSTM, gave us a wonderful rendition of her winning piece in the said competition for our Todo-Todong ASCOTian segment.
Catch ASCOT ‘TO every other Tuesday (8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.) airing on 92.1 FM RTV Baler. You can also watch it live on the official Facebook pages of ASCOT and RTV Baler!
