ASCOT | Feature

Two of our College’s faculty members from the Department of Forestry and Environmental Sciences served as our guests for today’s episode of ASCOT ‘TO (Todo-Todo) at 92.1 FM RTV Baler!

In our program’s Episode 44, discussing our first topic from the field of forestry, entitled “Ating Alamin! Geographic Information System Mapping and Remote Sensing,” Forester Mark John Suniega, GIS Laboratory and Research Center Leader and Forester Wandeg Diguinat, GIS Coordinator, shared with our listeners some basic information about the GIS, which is a uniformed system that creates, analyzes, and maps all types of data, especially in our forest areas, which is of great benefit for our forestry students.

Our guests also informed our listeners about the procedures they use to learn how to use GIS and how they provide the service to the community.

In today’s episode, we also performed a very special intermission number with recorded video greetings to some ASCOTians and the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. RB J. Gallego, as our tribute to our dear teachers, especially to the faculty members of ASCOT, as we celebrate World Teachers’ Day. Joining us on this very special episode is one of our talented ASCOTians from the Department of Industrial Technology, Mr. Jarno Suaverdez!
