To learn more about the advantage and capability of ICT in providing a dynamic and proactive teaching and learning environment, nine members of the ASCOT Faculty recently attended a Seminar-Workshop on Keeping at Pace with ICT-Pedagogy Integration last November 16-20, 2015 at the Central Luzon State University, Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.
Joining the participants from the different State Colleges and Universities in Region III were Prof. Rufina Talavera, Arts and Sciences Director together with eight faculty members, Ms. Arlene Ritual, Ms. Rolina Facardo, Ms. Cristelita Lombres, Mr. Mark Joseph Rafael, Mr. Efren Agbayani, Mr. John Ryan Abesamis, Mr. Mark Vincent Padilla and Engr. Bensan Chua.
The 5-day workshop included series of lectures and hands-on activities on Maximizing the Use of Technology inside the Classroom: MS Word, Google Enterprise and Learning Management System which was led by Ms. Maria Francesca Coreen T. Frias, Presentation and Selection of Video Instructional Materials by Dr. Regidor G. Gaboy, Presentation Software and Spreadsheet Application handled by Prof. Vilma M. Salas and Mr. Michael E. Mananghya respectively.
Culminating the activity was the awarding ceremony where ASCOT representatives got the Best Output for Online Test Construction and Best Output for Stand Alone Lesson Preparation.
The training was conducted by the College of Education of the Central Luzon State University in partnership with the CHED Center of Excellence for Teacher Education.
