January 23, 2025, ASCOT Zabali Campus, Baler – The ASCOT Faculty and Staff Association (AFSA) officially swore in its newly elected officers, with ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes presiding over the oath-taking ceremony.The new officers are as follows:
President: Jocelyn H. Diaz, DEM, Associate Professor V
Vice President: Godfrey B. Gudoy, Information Technology Officer I
Secretary: Nerisse Alcantara, Internal Auditor II
Assistant Secretary: Dina DC. Lim, Associate Professor IV
Treasurer: Chrystal Faye V. Salazar, CPA, Administrative Officer V
Assistant Treasurer: George Wilson A. Uy, Administrative Officer V
Auditor: Alfredo C. Padios, Jr., Assistant Professor III
Public Relations Officer: For. Michelle A. Resueno, Associate Professor II
Business Manager: Atty. Karl Thomas M. Olivar, Attorney IV (Legal Officer)
In his message, President Reyes emphasized the importance of collaboration and prioritizing employee welfare, particularly through health insurance. He remarked, “Magkaisa tayo para sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng institusyon. Kahit limitado ang budget, maayos ang takbo dahil sa ating pagtutulungan. Gawin nating prioridad ang kalusugan—health insurance para sa bawat empleyado.”
The ASCOT Faculty and Staff Association (AFSA) serves as a vital link between employees and management, strengthening the institution’s community. AFSA advocates for better working conditions, improved benefits—such as the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA)—and the overall welfare and protection of employees.
