ASCOT and DICT personnel led a basic center management training for center managers of Barangay Toytoyan was conducted via zoom on Nov. 11. Barangay officials headed by Barangay Captain Mario R. Monce and center managers of Barangay Toytoyan, Dipaculao attended the training. The launching of the Reading and TECH4ED Center happened after the event.

Key personnel from DICT and ASCOT join the event. The DICT personnel present in the event and imparted their knowledge are Director Reynaldo T. Sy (DICT Regional Director for Cluster 2); Engr. Ravenal De Jesus (Provincial Head-DICT Aurora); Engr. Petronilo Villafuerte (Chief, Technical Operations Division, DICT-LC2); Ms. Roma V. Herminigildo (Project Development Officer 1). Dr. Eusebio V. Angara (Vice President for Research, Innovation, Extension & Training Services) and Mr. Rick Gonzales (Director of ASCOT Extension and Training Services) represented ASCOT.

This event is part of the continuous development projects in Barangay Toytoyan. ASCOT continues to partner with key departments to help bring about growth to the barangay. TECH4ED is a project which provides access points for individuals and communities to bridge the digital and education divide. It promotes grassroots development and opportunities for inclusive growth and poverty reduction.

In addition, it outs to give Barangay Toytoyan access to information, communication, technology, government services, non-formal education, skills training, telehealth, job markets, and business portals. It is a relevant project. Through the project, individuals and communities are equipped and empowered.
