More than 20 thrilled students gathered in Bayanihan National High School on a Sunday (Oct 12, 2014) to attend a 1 –day free workshop in Video Filmmaking.
The activity held in Brgy. Bayanihan, a quiet place found at the base of green mountains that divides (or connects) Maria Aurora and Dipaculao Aurora, was organized by ASCOT Board Secretary Joseph T. Gonzales. Also made successful through the participation of Information and Communication Technology Center (ICTC) and the ASCOT OUTDOORS CLUB, a college-recognized student organization that advocates volunteerism, and promotes programs and activities that enhances creativeness, talent and skills. The group is composed of Mr. Joseph T. Gonzales, IT instructors Sean Buencamino and Von Geald Macose plus two Outdoors Club members, Mark Mercado and Joker Aguilana.
The jam-packed activity covered the important elements in creating an interesting short film – , from fundamentals to advance techniques. The activity was also designed to train the students for their future competitions.
To make the program more effective, the class was divided to small groups, and a mentor was assigned to each group. Most of the scenes were captured inside the campus that allowed the students to showcase the beauty of their school. The 1-day event was concluded with a general viewing of outputs. The three short film produced were entitled “ACACIA, KWADERNO and KILABOT.“
Facilitating the event are also proud alumni of ASCOT, Maam Jessica Estrada and Maam Marilaya Agno, both presently teaching at BNHS. They also coach their multimedia team which already won in several events.
