April 5, 2024 – The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Baler, in collaboration with the Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) Students Affairs and Services Office, organized the Register Anywhere Program (RAP) at the ASCOT accreditation hall.

The Register Anywhere Program, available in all capital cities, towns, and highly urbanized cities nationwide, provides essential voter registration services. These services include first-time voter registration, change of status, transfer of registration records, and reactivation of registration for individuals who have missed two consecutive elections.

Ms. Alma P. Broqueza, Election Officer III of COMELEC Baler, emphasized the significance of conducting the program at ASCOT. “We are here at ASCOT today for this activity because the community here is diverse, with students and employees residing in various municipalities. Even though we are from COMELEC Baler, we can also serve those interested in registering who live in other municipalities of Aurora,” Ms. Broqueza stated.

Dr. Alma Bayudan, Director of the Students Affairs and Services Office at ASCOT, highlighted the importance of the initiative for ASCOT personnel and students. “This is a great opportunity for ASCOT personnel and students. COMELEC has brought their services closer to us, so let’s take advantage of such opportunities. We rely on the cooperation of everyone,” Ms. Bayudan mentioned.

Also present at the event were Maria Christina R. Basco, SAAS staff; Mr. Jeffrey Tan, Election Assistant at COMELEC Baler, and COMELEC Baler Staff: Lester John Teh, Zoraida Felix, Marc Joseph Dela Torre, Zyra Mae Gonzales, and Arwin De Guzman.
