May 17, 2024| Bazal, Maria Aurora – The Aurora State College of Technology Ascot- School of Agriculture and Aquatic Sciences is laying the groundwork for a future Equestrian Science program with the arrival of the first five horses. This initiative, led by ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes, alongside Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ma. Luz Cabatan, Vice President for Administration, Planning and Finance Prof. Dr. Oscar Barawid, Dean of the School of Agriculture and Aquatic Sciences, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mark Joseph Rafael, and veterinarian

The introduction of these horses is part of preliminary plans to develop a comprehensive equestrian science program, which may include horse breeding, management, and advanced veterinary practices. The program aims to eventually provide students with hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge in the field of equestrian science, aligning with ASCOT’s commitment to innovation and excellence in agricultural education.

The arrival of the horses is the first step, with numerous plans already being discussed to expand and enrich the program in the future.
