Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) celebrated the awarding of stipends to 331 CHED Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) grantees for the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. The ceremony, held at the ASCOT Hostel, saw grantees receiving their checks with the support of Congressman Romel Rico T. Angara, who joined other distinguished community guests in acknowledging the students’ achievements.
ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes expressed his appreciation for the TDP’s support, emphasizing the program’s positive impact on ASCOTians’ academic success. He encouraged alumni to participate in the ASCOT Tracer Study, an initiative to trace the career paths and contributions of ASCOT graduates. “By participating, you’ll help us highlight the journeys of our alumni and further enhance support for current students,” Dr. Reyes shared.
Congressman Angara, the event’s inspirational speaker, urged students to embrace every step of their academic journey and make the most of the opportunities ahead.
The event, organized by the Scholarship Unit led by Ms. Alma Bayudan, was a testament to ASCOT’s ongoing commitment to supporting its students and strengthening its ties with the community. “We are grateful for the trust they have placed in us, at patuloy tayo sa paghahanap at pagbibigay ng serbisyo na makakuha ng scholarships ang mga bata,” Ms. Bayudan said.
The awarding ceremony underscored ASCOT’s commitment to educational empowerment, student success, and the valuable partnerships with CHED and community leaders.
