August 29, 2024- Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) actively participated in the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office III’s meeting. Held at the Aurora Subic Hotel in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Olongapo City, the meeting focused on the review of the Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP) as mandated by Republic Act No. 11396. The event theme is: LEVERAGE: LUDIP Enhancement through Visionary Efforts and Resource Allocation for Growth and Expansion
The meeting aimed to address the recommendations provided by the CHED Region III LUDIP Technical Working Group (TWG) during the January-February 2023 presentation and to monitor the progress of SUCs’ infrastructure projects listed for October-November 2023. It also sought to consolidate concerns and issues related to LUDIP implementation and guide SUCs in making necessary revisions.
With the former ASCOT OIC President and the CHED III Regional Director, Ma’am Lora Yusi, ASCOT was represented by College President Dr. Renato G. Reyes, Vice Presidents of the college, and key administrative heads. Their participation highlights ASCOT’s dedication to adhering to LUDIP directives and advancing its infrastructure development.
The session provided valuable insights and direction for SUCs to enhance their land use and infrastructure planning, ensuring alignment with the national standards and addressing any emerging challenges.
