July 26, 2024- Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) President Renato G. Reyes, a Fulbright Post Doctoral Research Fellow himself,visited Fulbright Philippines to discuss the Fulbright Specialist Program andotherinitiatives with Julie Washburn, the Education Outreach Coordinator and Education USA Advisor. The program provides opportunities for U.S. professionals and academics to share expertiseandbuild international partnerships through short-term, project-based exchanges.

Established in 2001 by the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright Specialist Program allows foreign institutions to design projects thatalign with their priorities, which are then matched with qualified U.S. experts to enhance collaboration and cultural exchange.

ASCOT is dedicated to fostering international collaborations and enhancing educational opportunities. By hosting a Fulbright Specialist, ASCOT aims to provide faculty and students with access to specialized knowledge, promote cultural exchange, and build lasting partnerships with U.S. institutions.
