April 29, 2024- The Aurora State College of Technology’s Student Affairs Services, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), organized a Cash for Work Orientation, drawing 159 beneficiaries. This initiative aims to provide short-term support to students and local graduates, offering valuable work experience as they transition into stable employment.

ASCOT President Renato G. Reyes expressed gratitude to DSWD and Senator Imee Marcos for facilitating this invaluable opportunity. “Napakaganda ng programang ito para matulungan ang ating mga bagong graduates na magkaroon ng work experience at ang ating mga estudiyante para kahit paano ay matustusan ang kanilang pangangailagan sa pagaaral.”President Reyes said.

Cecille Foman-eg and Lea Jade Galagas from DSWD Central Office led the Cash for Work orientation, funded by Senator Imee Marcos and operating under DSWD’s KALAHI-CIDSS program. They provided insights into program essentials, including requirements, qualifications, and salaries.

An open forum with Francis Paul Valiente from DSWD Regional Office allowed beneficiaries to address queries and concerns.
In her closing statement, Dr. Bayudan underscored the importance of the program and urged beneficiaries to seize this opportunity earnestly.
