October 3, 2024 – Officials from the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO) convened with Dr. Renato G. Reyes, President of Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT), to explore collaborative opportunities.
The meeting focused on aligning ASCOT’s academic programs with the workforce needs of APECO. Dr. Reyes emphasized the significance of such partnerships, stating that they will enhance student learning and contribute to the community’s growth surrounding ASCOT’s Esteves Campus.
Discussions included potential internships, research initiatives, and job placements designed to prepare students for current industry demands.
Attendees from APECO included Ms. Luzed Anne J. Jandoc, Ms. Ma. Cristina G. Suaverdez, Atty. Aison Garcia, and Ms. Angela R. Tiangco, along with representatives from Certeza. ASCOT was represented by Dr. Ma Luz F. Cabatan, Engr. Oscar C. Barawid Jr., Atty. Karl Thomas M. Olivar, and Arch. Kelvin Carl O. Miñoza.
