ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes and ANSci Principal II Ms. Rosalinda A. Sison, put pen to paper, formalizing a collaboration that blends education, technology, and sustainability.
Under this agreement, ASCOT’s School of Engineering (SOE) will provide ANSci with its research output and prototype titled: “Smart Vending Machine: A Barter Between Plastic Bottle Recycling and Wifi Connectivity”—a brainchild of ASCOT’s School of Engineering (SOE). The project doesn’t just recycle plastic; it rewards students with internet access in exchange for their eco-conscious efforts. Now, through this MOA, ANSci students will get to experience this technological marvel firsthand.
The MOA signing was witnessed by key figures from ASCOT’s School of Engineering, including Deputy Dean Engr. Christopher Paladio, along with faculty members Engr. Jerick L. Tangson, Engr. Raymond Dela Rosa, and other SOE faculty members.
The extension project was from a research conducted by ASCOT engineering students; Cherry May Tarape, Chris Mar Francis, Denise Parong, Frank Lloyd Nortez, Rizza Joy Valencia, Gizel Kimberly Teh, Hextor Esteban, Jeanzel Mae German, Mark Valerie Gutierrez, and Michale Vincent Silva, under the guidance of their adviser, Engr. Jerick L. Tangson.
With this partnership, ASCOT and ANSci are setting a precedent—where technology meets responsibility, and where education embraces sustainability. The future of learning isn’t just digital; it’s also green.
