On October 14, a TECH4ED Center launched at Barangay Toytoyan, Dipaculao Aurora. The barangay received an equipment package consisting of 4 units of laptop computers, ASUS Laptop X550ZE, 1 Epson L120 Printer, 1 Router, 1 CCTV, 4 Headset, and 4 Laptop Lock. Barangay Captain Mario R. Monce with other barangay officials received all these at the Provincial Office of the Department of Information and Communications Technology at ATC Compound, Calabuanan, Baler, Aurora.
The establishment of a TECH4ED center at the barangay was made possible by the ASCOT-AKAP Komunidad headed by College President, Eutiquio L. Rotaquio Jr., Ph.D., Vice-President for Research and Extension, Eusebio V. Angara Ph.D., and Extension Director Rick Gonzales in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology headed by Regional Director Reynaldo T. Sy and Aurora Provincial Head, Engr. Ravenal A. De Jesus.
The TECH4ED program aims to launch a Community e-Center to provide critical e-government and ICT-enabled services in communities with minimal or no access to information and government services.
