Resueño, participated in the recently concluded 29th AACCUP Annual National Conference held last February 17-19, 2016 at the Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila.

This year’s conference hopes to provide its participants with an in-depth knowledge of and appreciation for outcomes-based accreditation through exposure to the best practices and experiences of local and international quality assurance agencies. Six foreign speakers shared and discussed their expertise: Dr. Angela Hou Yang-Chi, VP for Asia Pacific Qualifications Network; Dr. Fabrizio Trifiro, Deputy Head, International Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education of UK; Dr. Hazman Shah Abdulah, Deputy CEO, Malaysian Qualifications Agency; Dr. Jong-Tsun Huang, President, Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation council of Taiwan; Ms. Dirce Maria Celia Da Silva Costa Belo, Quality Officer, National Agency for Academic Assessment and Accreditation and Dr. Supongse Nimkulrat, Committee for Development of Assessment Systems for Vocational Education.

Meanwhile, for the exposure to quality assurance of local agency, other conference speakers who also shared their knowledge and expertise included, CHED Commissioners Alex B. Brillantes and Ruperto S. Sangalang, Dr. Samson L. Molao, President, Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology, Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, EVP for Admin. And Finance, UMAK, Dr. Adlai C. Castigador, Executive Director, PACUCOA, Engr. Federico A. Monsada, President, PTC, Dr. Angel C. Alcala, President, NNQAA, Dr. Ricardo E. Rotoras, President, PASUC, Dr. Manuel T. Plenary sessions highlighted the assessment and lessons learned from the set of foreign and local speakers who address this year’s theme, “Internalizing Quality Assurance Systems in SUCs and Internationalizing the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc.”.
