Honor Graduates of Class 2017

ASCOT Class of 2017 is led by eleven honor graduates, nine of which are from the Undergraduate Program whom will be conferred the Latin Honor of Cum Laude and two With Honors from the Diploma and Certificate Courses. The eleven honor graduates will be receiving their medals on the occasion of the ASCOT 24th Commencement Exercises which will be held on April 7, 2017 at Sentro Baler.

Topping the list of graduating student is Dave Patrick L. Ruiz, Bachelor of Elementary Education from Dipaculao, Aurora who is also a recipient of Leadership Award and Academic Distinction Medal from Cong. Ann K. Hofer. Ruiz finished his Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education under the UCPB – Coco-Foundation Scholarship Program.Moreover, four Bachelor of Secondary Education graduates namely Janus U. Valencia, Jeseree Ann C. Bitong, Jovelyn V. Dacalcap and Karen Joy C. Cayetano also finished their degrees as Cum Laude graduates making the Department of Teacher Education the Department with most number of honor graduates.

Also included in this year’s list of honor graduates are Darlene Tubera, BSF from the Department of Forestry and Environmental Sciences and Elcris G. Ramos, BIT-FT from the Department of Industrial Technology.

Completing the roster are the two Cum Laude from the Department of Engineering, Mark Daries Q. Sardea, BSEE and Rose Ann R. Morillo, BSCE.

On the other hand, two graduating students from the certificate courses will also be receiving medals for their academic achievements (With Honors). They are Richard C. Del Rosario, Certificate of Agriculture Science and Mary Chris B. Riguer, Certificate in Food Technology.

The honor graduates will finally taste the fruit of their labor after the years of hardships in earning their respective degrees. The College President together with the ASCOT Officials will bestow the medals to the graduates with honors who will be accompanied by their parents.
