ASCOT President Eusebio V. Angara with delegates to the SUC Olympics

Eleven delegates from Aurora State College of Technology witnessed the turn of events in the recently held SUC National Olympics at Alibagu, Ilagan, Isabela on February 21-25. The delegation was headed by ASCOT President, Dr. Eusebio V. Angara, VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Oscar T. Vallejo, and Sports Coordinator, Mr. Roderick I. Zante. They were with the different event coaches: Mr. Conrad Mendizabal, for Athletics; Mr. Wilfredo N. Julio and Mr. Ricardo Gonzales for Baseball. The student delegates were composed of Mr. Vincent Sollano for Taekwondo, Mr. Novi Herminigildo for Long Jump, Rommel Dones, Archie Potestades and Sam Dela Torre, for Baseball.

The series of events brought pride to the ASCOT Community as Novi Herminigildo bags silver medal in Long Jump as well as the Rommel Dones, Archie Potesdades and Sam Dela Torre, as members of the Region III Baseball team also emerges as silver medalist in the competition. Making it to the national level in sports competition was an experience good enough for an individual to have and certainly taking home a silver medal is something to brag about.
