July 19, 2024 – Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) celebrated a milestone with its 38th Commencement Exercises held at the Baler Convention Center, a day filled with pride, anticipation, and a sense of achievement. This year’s theme, “ASCOT to the World, in the World, for the World,” echoed the college’s commitment to equipping students with the skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on a global scale.

In a ceremony honoring the dedication and accomplishments of 1,536 graduates, ASCOT proudly conferred degrees on 18 graduate students, 959 undergraduates, and 559 non-baccalaureate students. The Class of 2024 boasted 5 Magna Cum Laudes and 150 Cum Laudes, a testament to the high academic standards maintained by ASCOT.

ASCOT President Renato G. Reyes took to the stage to confer the degrees, acknowledging each student’s hard work and perseverance. The presentation of the graduating class was led by Engr. Oscar C. Barawid, Ph.D., Vice President for Administration, Planning, and Finance, standing in for the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ma Luz F. Cabatan, along with deans from various schools.

Adding a special touch to the ceremony, J. Prospero E. De Vera III, Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education, and Senator Sherwin T. Gatchalian, extended their heartfelt congratulations to ASCOT graduates through video messages. Commissioner De Vera praised the graduates’ resilience and encouraged them to use their education to create meaningful change in their communities. Senator Gatchalian also commended the graduates for their dedication and hard work, inspiring them to strive for excellence in their future endeavors.

As these graduates step into the world, they carry with them the values and education imparted by ASCOT, ready to make a difference. The college community celebrates their achievements and eagerly anticipates their future successes.
