March 24, 2025 – The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) held its 39th Commencement Exercises at the ASCOT Gymnasium in Baler, Aurora, celebrating the achievements of 167 mid-year graduates.
ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes addressed the graduates, emphasizing optimism as they enter a new chapter. “Be thankful that ASCOT has prepared you to start a new journey… a new beginning, a beautiful and exciting journey. I know that there are many challenges that lie ahead—be always positive,” he said.
Delivering the words of thanks, Jessa May G. Villalobos, Cum Laude graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, compared her college journey to cooking, highlighting the importance of patience, preparation, and learning from mistakes. “Sa pagluluto, hindi agad nakakamit ang perpektong putahe. Kailangan ng tamang timpla, maayos na paghahanda, at minsan, ilang pagkakamali bago makuha ang tamang lasa—tulad din ng ating paglalakbay sa kolehiyo,” she shared.
Adding a heartfelt touch to the celebration, the graduates performed “The Climb” as their graduation song, a fitting anthem for their journey.
The event concluded with the Pledge of Loyalty to ASCOT and the induction of graduates into the ASCOT Alumni Association, led by Hon. Casper Jay T. Ortiz, symbolizing their transition to alumni status.
To the ASCOT Mid-Year Class of 2025—may you keep climbing higher!
