March 3, 2025 – Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) continues to raise the bar in student career opportunities as its Public Employment Service Office (PESO) clinched the Regional Best in the Job Placement Office Category. Leading this achievement is Dr. Alma S. Bayudan, ASCOT’s PESO Manager, who has played a key role in connecting students to career opportunities and bridging them to the workforce.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office III recognized ASCOT and Dr. Bayudan with a Plaque of Recognition during the 2024 PESO Year-End Performance Assessment and 2025 Planning Exercise on February 26, 2025, at Royce Hotel & Casino, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga. This milestone secures ASCOT’s spot in the National PESO Awards, where it will represent Region 3 on a bigger stage.

As Director of Student Affairs and Services (SAAS), Job Placement Officer, and Instructor III, Dr. Bayudan has spearheaded job fairs, career readiness programs, and key DOLE initiatives such as the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) and the Government Internship Program (GIP). Through these efforts, hundreds of ASCOT students have kick-started their careers, gaining valuable work experience and professional growth.
