ASCOTians Saves Lives Through Blood Donation

March 14, 2025 – Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) showed up and showed out for community health! Partnering with Baler RHU and the DOH, we turned the ASCOT Clinic into a hub of generosity with a blood donation drive that brought students, faculty, and staff together for a life-saving cause.

“Napakaganda ng ganitong programa dahil nagbibigay ito ng pagkakataon sa ASCOT na tumulong sa komunidad, lalo na sa mga nangangailangan ng dugo,” shared ASCOT Health Services Unit Head, Nurse Genalyn Gudoy—because giving blood isn’t just about donation, it’s about giving hope.

Want to donate next time? Here’s what you need:

✅ 18–60 years old
✅ At least 50kg
✅ In good health, no recent illnesses
✅ Well-rested, no alcohol intake in the past 24 hours
✅ No recent surgeries or tattoos (within the last 12 months)

This initiative backs UN SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, proving that small acts of kindness can create a huge impact.
