ASCOT Recognizes Outstanding Researchers at Annual In-House Review

March 14, 2025- ASCOT faculty researchers were recognized for their outstanding contributions at the Annual In-House Review of Research Proposals, organized by the Office of Research and Development. Led by Engr. Alking Gorospe, PhD, the event carried the theme “Bridging Vision and Innovation” and showcased exceptional research that drives academic and scientific progress.
In Category I: Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources, Jose Balai Jr. from the School of Agricultural Sciences secured 1st Place, followed by Edlyn Pooten from the School of Arts and Sciences in 2nd Place, and Dr. Riosahlie Madrid, also from the School of Agricultural Sciences, in 3rd Place.

For Category II: Agriculture Education, Management, and Social Science, Malou Angara from the School of Arts and Sciences claimed the top spot, with King Alvin Grospe from the School of Information Technology and Antonio Bolivar III from the School of Industrial Technology finishing in 2nd and 3rd Place, respectively.

In Category III: Engineering, Information Technology, and Industrial Technology, Dr. Mark Angelo Diaz from the School of Engineering emerged as the 1st Place winner, followed by Engr. Felix Paul Rabago in 2nd Place, and Sherwin Glorioso from the School of Information Technology in 3rd Place.

The event highlighted ASCOT’s dedication to research excellence, recognizing faculty members for their contributions while continuously fostering innovation and academic growth.
