ASCOT Joins Nationwide Earthquake Drill for Safety Preparedness

March 13, 2025- The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) three campuses- Zabali, Baler (Main), Bazal, Maria Aurora (satellite) and Casiguran (satellite campus) participated in the nationwide simultaneous earthquake drill, reinforcing its commitment to disaster readiness.

Students and employees followed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure before evacuating to designated safe zones in an orderly manner. The drill aimed to enhance awareness and ensure swift, coordinated responses in real emergencies, especially given the Philippines’ earthquake-prone location.

ASCOT continues to promote a culture of preparedness, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, which advocates for disaster resilience and safer environments.
