ASCOT Holds Stakeholders' Consultation on FY 2026-2028 Plans

February 28, 2025 – The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) convened key stakeholders at Bulwagang Senator Edgardo J. Angara Upper Deck for a consultation on its 2026-2028 program and project proposals. The dialogue brought together ASCOT officials, faculty, student representatives, government agencies, and NGOs to align strategic plans for institutional growth.

ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes emphasized the power of collaboration, even in the face of financial constraints. “We have to create an impact. Hindi sapat na makita lang ang mga problema—be a solution seeker rather than a fault finder. Tayong nangarap na maging ganap na unibersidad ang ASCOT, tayo rin ang kailangang kumilos para matupad ito,” he urged, calling for proactive participation in ASCOT’s journey toward university status.
Planning and Development Unit Head Ms. Maria Cezil L. Molina outlined the key agenda, highlighting the importance of transparency and education-driven planning. Discussions covered academic programs, research initiatives, infrastructure development, student services, and sustainability efforts—all integral to ASCOT’s roadmap for institutional excellence.

Vice President for Administration, Planning, and Finance Oscar Barawid presented ASCOT’s newly proposed Vision, Mission, Development Goals, and Core Values. He also shared insights on faculty-student ratios, program offerings, infrastructure expansion, and enrollment trends, setting the stage for informed decision-making.

An open forum allowed stakeholders to voice concerns on income-generating projects, facility upgrades, and project implementation amid budget constraints. Addressing these issues, ASCOT officials reaffirmed the need for a unified effort to turn challenges into opportunities.

Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Gerardo Rillon concluded the consultation by emphasizing the role of collective effort in ASCOT’s future. “Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nagtrabaho para maisakatuparan ang Stakeholders’ Meeting na ito, at sa lahat ng dumalo ngayon. Mahalaga na hindi lang tayong nasa ASCOT, kundi pati ang iba sa labas ng ating komunidad, ay may alam sa mga proyektong hinaharap ng kolehiyo. Ang pagtutulungan at pagkakaisa natin ay susi sa tagumpay ng mga layunin ng ASCOT,” he remarked.

This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, further strengthening ASCOT’s mission to drive academic and institutional excellence.
