March 6, 2025 – The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) Faculty and Staff Association (AFSA) and ASCOT Non-Teaching Personnel Association held a Special General Assembly on Thursday at Bulwagang Senator Edgardo J. Angara, with ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes delivering an inspiring message.
President Reyes emphasized ASCOT’s continued growth and transformation, recognizing the collective efforts of faculty and staff.
“Maganda ang performance ng ASCOT, at kinikilala ito ng DBM RIII. Hindi natin ito magagawa kung hindi tayo sama-sama. Maraming hamon, pero ito ay ating kakayanin. Gusto kong ma-transform ang human capital ng ASCOT, at kasama rito ang suporta ng mga heads sa kanilang mga tao. Patuloy nating binibigyan ng bagong bihis ang ASCOT,” said President Reyes, encouraging unity and innovation moving forward.
Key discussions included amendments to the Constitution and By-Laws, ratification of agreements, and preparation for SCUFAR III. AFSA President Jocelyn H. Diaz, DEM, later presented the association’s notable accomplishments, particularly the successful release of CNA incentives last year.
The assembly also featured an open forum and a special meeting of the ASCOT Non-Teaching Personnel Association (ANTPA) presided over by ANTPA President Godfrey B. Gudoy, where Atty. Karl Thomas Olivar was elected as Vice President and Sherwin Serrano as Treasurer.
