ASCOT Completes AACCUP Level III Accreditation for 3 Programs

February 27, 2025- The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) has successfully completed the Level III accreditation visit conducted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) from February 25-27, 2025. The evaluation covered three academic programs:

Bachelor of Industrial Technology (BIT)
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)

The accreditation process assessed key areas, including curriculum and instruction, faculty qualifications, research and extension services, student support services, and facilities. A team of AACCUP accreditors, each with specialized expertise, conducted the evaluation through document validation, faculty and student interviews, and virtual site inspections.

The accreditation team was composed of:

Dr. Noel S. Quidato (ISATU)
Prof. Arnold L. Alburo (ISU)
Engr. Elenor M. Reyes (BatsU)
Engr. Donnalyn C. Cabaces (BatsU)

ASCOT’s faculty and administrators highlighted key institutional developments, including enhanced laboratory facilities, strengthened industry linkages, and research initiatives that reinforce the college’s commitment to quality education. Leading the accreditation efforts were ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ma Luz F. Cabatan, Vice President for Administration, Planning, and Finance Engr. Oscar C. Barawid, Jr., PhD, School of Engineering Dean Dr. Alking Gorospe, and School of Industrial Technology Dean Roderick Zante.

During the closing program, Team Coordinator Dr. Roland M. Valencia commended ASCOT’s dedication to academic development, recognizing the faculty’s efforts in maintaining high standards. He also provided insightful recommendations to guide the institution’s future improvements.

As ASCOT awaits the official accreditation results, this milestone reinforces its commitment to academic excellence, continuous improvement, and global competitiveness.
