March 14, 2025 – Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) President Dr. Renato G. Reyes met with Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO) President Atty. Gil Gianan Taway IV to discuss collaborations in education, research, and industry development in Aurora.

The meeting focused on workforce training, research initiatives, and internship programs aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and industry needs. Also present were ASCOT Vice President Dr. Oscar C. Barawid Jr. and APECO’s Engr. Ryan V. Baliat.

Further discussions and initiatives are expected in the coming months to formalize the partnership.
