ASCOT 2.0: Upgraded Campus Spaces, Stronger International Connections

March 19, 2025 – Exciting transformations are unfolding at Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT)! Under the visionary and transformative leadership of President Dr. Renato G. Reyes, the campus is leveling up—with enhanced student spaces and cultural landmarks that strengthen both local pride and global connections.

A Warm Welcome at the President’s Mansion

Soon, guests arriving at ASCOT will be greeted with free, freshly brewed coffee at the ‘President’s Mansion Waiting Station‘—a personal initiative of Dr. Reyes, promoting coffee beans grown by the locals. But this isn’t just about hospitality—it’s also a hands-on training ground for Hospitality and Tourism Management students and faculty, thus sharpening their skills in real-world guest services.

A Student Hub, Reimagined

The Student Center is getting a major refresh, thanks to the initiative of the College Supreme Student Council led by the Student Regent President Janelle Baldonade with support from the General Services Unit of ASCOT Administration transforming into a centralized student service hub with a direct link to the different student services such as the Office of Student Services, Guidance Office, Health Services, Sports Development Office and the Socio – Cultural Affairs Office. The goal? Better accessibility, seamless student support, and an even more vibrant student experience.

Ermita Hill: Where History Meets Innovation

Already home to the Aurora Studies Center, the Sentro ng Wika at Kultura, the Peace Monument, St. Isabel, Sunken Mini Theatre, the Tromba Marina Statue, the White Cross on top of the Hill, the Arboretum, Ermita Hill is set for further upgrades to enrich its historical and cultural significance. ASCOT will continue fostering research, preservation, and appreciation of Aurora’s rich heritage for international understanding and peace.

Adding to its charm, a Torii gate is installed—joining other Philippine universities in symbolizing global academic and intercultural exchanges. This complements the Read Japan Project granted to ASCOT by the Embassy of Japan. Plus, Corinthian columns will stand tall as a testament to ASCOT’s expanding global prominence and commitment to excellence.

ASCOT is On the Rise!

These projects reflect ASCOT’s commitment to innovation, culture, and student success. With support from the administration, faculty, staff and students and the other stakeholders, ASCOT continues to blend tradition with progress, creating a beautiful and green campus landscape that’s both inspiring and future-ready.
