Agri-MOO-ves! PCC Donates Two Dairy Buffaloes to ASCOT

April 11, 2025, ASCOT Bazal Campus, Maria Aurora- The Aurora State College of Technology’s School of Agricultural Sciences got a welcome boost in its livestock program, thanks to the donation of two crossbred dairy buffaloes from the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) – National Bull Farm in Carranglan, Nueva Ecija.

The donation includes one 4-year-old and one 3-year-old female buffalo, officially turned over as part of the Department of Agriculture’s livestock development initiative through the PCC at Central Luzon State University.

The buffaloes were received by ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes, Vice President for Academic Affairs and School of Agricultural Sciences Dean Dr. Ma. Luz F. Cabatan, and Deputy Dean Dr. Riosahlie Y. Madrid.

These new additions are expected to level up the school’s hands-on training in animal science and agriculture, giving students real experience in dairy production and livestock care. Moreover, the donation supports ASCOT’s continuing efforts in agricultural research, food security, and sustainable rural development.

Also seen in the photo are students of the Animal Science program, who will soon be working closely with the buffaloes as part of their practical training.
