February 13, 2025 – The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) and the Philippine Institute of Cyber Security Professionals (PICSPro) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance cybersecurity education and industry collaboration.
The signing ceremony followed the School of Information Technology (SoIT) International Webinar, where PICSPro Chairman and Founder Mr. Angel Redoble served as a speaker.
ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes and Mr. Redoble formalized the agreement, committing to curriculum development, professional training, research collaboration, and cybersecurity awareness. PICSPro will provide technical expertise, workshops, and certification programs to ensure ASCOT’s cybersecurity education aligns with industry standards.
This initiative supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 9 on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, reinforcing ASCOT’s role in producing industry-ready IT professionals.
