ASCOT VP Earns Leadership Certification from Wharton
Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) Vice President for Administration, Planning, and Finance, Engr. Oscar C. Barawid, Jr., PhD, has successfully completed the Leadership and Management Certificate Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania—one of the world’s top business schools. His participation was made possible through the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Scholarship under the Higher Education Upskilling and Study for Advancement of Staff and Faculty (HUSAY) Program.
Conducted online from September 30 to December 20, 2024, the program provided in-depth training on Leadership in the 21st Century, Managing Global Firms, Managing and Motivating Talent, and Strategic Management and Corporate Strategy. These courses enhanced Engr. Barawid’s expertise in organizational leadership and global business strategies, equipping him with insights vital for navigating modern academic administration.
